Poor Gavin

So the boys are outside jumping on their trampoline this evening having a grand ole' time when it is time to go inside and eat dinner. Us as parents trying to keep our kids alittle more protected on the trampoline had also purchased the net to go around the thing (it really works great) the sad part is that it doesn't seem to keep your child from flipping off and doing a somersault onto the ground while attempting to climb down off the trampoline. YES, that is correct, Gavin out of the protective surrounding of the net tries to get off the side and needless to say his hand slips off the side, I was able to put my leg out fast enough to catch most of his weight but, unfortunately he still was able to manage to land on his right wrist(yes, the hand he does everything with)and do a flip. With a certain cry/scream you get from your child you know there is possible something seriously wrong with them. Needless to say I took him the the Vanderbilt walk-in clinic and got Ex-rays, he of course has a what the Dr's call a "Buckle Fracture". So, I am finally home (Jonathan happens to be in Atlanta this week), Kids are now asleep and Gavin is resting in his wrist splint. I hope tonight we can all get some rest with the Advil he is on.

Tomarrow we will see an Orthopedic Dr. at the Bone & Joint Clinic and then visit his pediatrician in the afternoon as well. And you know even though he is in pain he is more worried about getting the chance to what he and his daddy says "whoop the other teams" in baseball the how every many games he will miss. This boy LOVES his baseball, we will be there in uniform though. Mommy loves you Gavin, stay strong your a tough guy and will do just fine!

Pitiful isn't it?
